After you have played the 2 bowl game and your dog is automatically going between the 2 bowls, you can easily add in the plank and have the bowls placed on each end.
Work towards your dog keeping all 4 paws on the plank and successfully coordinating their turns in both directions. If your dog struggles with this foundation skill, continue to work on it as you progress to other exercises.
This exercise helps to teach body awareness, promotes flexibility, and strengthens the hip and shoulder stabilizers.
Start with 5 reps with a break then repeat for a total of 3 sets and work up to 3 sets of 10 being executed happily and easily.
