In simple terms:
- Providing Pooch Partners® services involves the collection, use and disclosure of some personal information about you, and protecting your personal information is important to us.
- Pooch Partners® collects, uses and shares your personal information for the purposes of providing our services to you, responding to your inquiries or for related purposes, and will never sell or trade your personal information.
- Online payments are processed through Stripe, PayPal or Square. Pooch Partners® does not collect your credit card information.
- We value our clients and may send you information of services you may be interested in, but we will not spam you and you can always choose to unsubscribe to our newsletter or email list.
- If you have concerns or questions about how we collect, use or store your personal information, you can contact us as noted below.
This Privacy Notice outlines the principles and practices Pooch Partners® will follow in protecting your personal information. Personal Information means information about an identifiable individual such as your name, email address, home address and phone number.
Collection of Personal Information
Pooch Partners® relies on implied consent to collect personal information that is necessary to fulfill the purposes of providing your requested service, responding to your inquiries, or for a consistent purpose. In some situations, we may also rely on implied consent when we give notice and provide you with a reasonable opportunity to opt-out (e.g., mailing list). If you sign up to receive our newsletter, we use your name and email address to keep you up to date with our news and to monitor the success of our campaigns. An unsubscribe link is available to you in every newsletter. In all other situations we obtain explicit consent from you. PIPA also authorizes collection, use and disclosure of personal information without your consent under sections 12, 15 and 18.
Some of our web pages may include embedded content, such as videos hosted on other websites (i.e., YouTube and Vimeo). That embedded content acts the same as if you visit that website, which may track or collect data on you.
Our website and social media channels are intended for adult clients seeking dog training services, not for children. We do not intentionally track or collect information on youths under the age of 18, and we encourage parents/ guardians to be aware of, and involved with their children’s online activities.
Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
Pooch Partners® only uses or discloses personal information where necessary to fulfill the purposes identified at the time of collection or for a purpose reasonably related to those purposes, such as conducting surveys to enhance the provision of our services or to contact clients directly about services that may be of interest to them. We will not use or disclose clients’ personal information for any other purpose unless we obtain consent to do so.
Retention of Personal Information
Personal information is retained for as long as is necessary to fulfill the identified purposes, or for a legal or business purpose, and for a minimum of one year if the personal information is used to make a decision directly affecting you. Data on a website or social media, such as comments you post, may remain indefinitely.
Ensuring Accuracy of Personal Information
As you provide your personal information directly to us, we rely on you to ensure it is accurate and correct. You may make corrections to your personal information at any time by logging into your account or emailing us at email@example.com.
Securing Personal Information
Your personal information is secured from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal or similar risks. Paper records with personal information are securely shredded and all electronic records are accessible only to those with a need-to-know, and deleted when no longer required.
Providing Access to Personal Information
You have a right to access your personal information, subject to limited exceptions and may do so at any time electronically with your login credentials to the applicable platform (i.e., website, social media).
